Bobbie Figures has been serving as the Resident Council President at HHA's Forest Green Townhomes for 11 years. As President, she has focused on addressing the needs of Forest Green's youth, adults and seniors. Under her leadership, she has initiated several new programs for adult literacy, parenting, summer meals, after-school tutorials and senior recreation. Her success was supported by the establishment of numerous partnerships with Harris County's Street Olympics, True Gospel Kingdom, Strengthening the Families and North Forest School District.
Bobbie also serves as an officer for the Council of Development Presidents, HHA's city-wide resident organization. For the past two years, she has served as the Treasurer.
