Details

2100 Memorial is a true chameleon. The former Holiday Inn hosted Houston visitors until 1986, after which it stood lonely and vacant until HHA gave it new life as a senior facility in 1997. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey ripped through Louisiana and Texas, leaving a huge swath of destruction in its wake. The hurricane moved historic amounts of water, including 40 feet of water at the site. Hurricane Harvey’s brutal impact on 2100 Memorial caused more than 175 residents to relocate in its immediate aftermath. The damage was too significant to be repaired.

Four years after this devastating loss, HHA and its partner, Columbia Residential, have begun to construct a brand new, top-flight affordable senior-living community to replace what the Hurricane took. The construction will take some time, but 2100 Memorial will welcome its residents, both past and future, home with open arms.
