In celebration of the grand re-opening of the New Kennedy Place, the Houston Housing Resource, Inc. non-profit has created a commemorative poster featuring the artwork of Charles Washington, a local Houston artist whose works "Family" and "Community" hang in the Kennedy Place Leasing Office.
Proceeds from the sale of this poster will support the implementation of The Black Frame Project - an initiative that brings local Houston artists to public housing communities to facilitate the creation of artwork that reflects the neighborhood's values, dreams and aspirations.
